Cloves

Cloves (Syzygium aromaticum) are the dried flower buds of the clove
tree, native to Indonesia and widely recognized as a highly aromatic
spice. Cloves are used extensively in the food and beverage industry,
cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and especially in clove cigarette (kretek)
manufacturing due to their high essential oil content, primarily
eugenol.
With a strong, warm aroma and a slightly sweet, pungent taste, cloves
are known not only for their flavor but also for their natural antiseptic
and antioxidant properties. As one of Indonesia’s top export
commodities, cloves are in high demand across global markets.
